Privacy Policy
Overview
Sale Buddy is a sales, inventory, billing, customer, return, and backup application for small shops. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app stores and how optional Google account features work.
Data You Enter
Sale Buddy stores the information you enter into the app, including products, prices, stock, barcodes, product images, customers, sales, returns, payment details, bill details, store details, and app settings.
Local Storage
If you continue without a Google account, your Sale Buddy data is stored locally on your device. Local backup files are created only when you choose backup or export actions inside the app.
Google Account And Google Drive App Data
If you sign in with Google, Sale Buddy uses your Google account to keep data separate for that account and to provide optional Google Drive app data backups.
Sale Buddy requests the Google Drive app data scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata.
This allows the app to create, read, update, download, and delete its own
hidden backup file in Google Drive's app data folder. Sale Buddy does not
request access to view, list, edit, or delete your regular Google Drive
files.
How Google User Data Is Used
Google user data is used only to support account-based separation and the cloud backup features that you choose to use. Sale Buddy uses Google Drive app data access to save, restore, download, and delete the app's own backup file.
Sharing
Sale Buddy does not sell your app data. Data is shared only when you choose actions such as sharing a bill, exporting a report, sharing a backup, saving a file to device storage, or using Google Drive app data backup.
Data Deletion
You can delete local data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. You can delete the Google Drive app data backup from Sale Buddy by opening Accounts and Backup, then Manage My Cloud Data, then Delete Cloud Backup. You can also manage connected app access from your Google Account.
Security
Sale Buddy uses Google Sign-In and Google APIs for Google account and backup features. You are responsible for keeping your device and Google account secure.
Children
Sale Buddy is intended for business and shop management use. It is not directed to children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Sale Buddy changes. If important changes are made, the app may ask users to accept the updated terms before continuing.
